Day 1 | Begin Your Tour / Arrive in Rome
Welcome to your ‘Cox & Kings European Sojourn’ tour. Your Cox & Kings representative greets you at the hotel, after you comfortably check-in on your own.(check in after 1400hrs). This evening assemble in the lobby to meet your fellow travelers and proceed for dinner at 1830hrs.

Day 2 | On to Tuscany / Visit Time Elevator / Visit Vatican City / Guided Panoramic City Tour Of Rome
‘Rome was not built in a day’- the truth of this oft quoted adage hits you with full force, as we pack in all the ‘must see’ agenda into our guided panoramic highlight city tour!

Start your introduction to Rome with a journey on the time Elevator and enjoy a 4 dimensional view of Roman Glory. Next head to the Vatican City, the most famous square of Vatican City is St. Peter’s Square with St. Peter’s Basilica. Gaze in awe at Michelangelo’s Pieta. See the triumphal Arch of Constantine. Tribute is paid to the brave Gladiators of Rome, as you pass the mighty Colosseum and then drive through Piazza Venezia. Pass the Circus Maximus which was reconstructed by Hollywood for ‘Ben Hur’! Pass the ruins of the Roman Forum and end the tour at the famous Trevi Fountain. Legend has it, that if you make a wish and toss a coin over your left shoulder into the fountain, you are sure to return to Rome! We at Cox & Kings look forward to that! After dinner, drive to your hotel in Tuscany.

Day 3 | Onto Veneto Region / Orientation Tour Of Pisa / Visit Florence
Today drive to Pisa, the hometown of Galileo and a city, which makes the most of its claim to fame – its Leaning Tower! At a photo stop here, note its striking beauty along with its characteristic tilt. It is the Duomo’s (Cathedral) Bell Tower. and are all a part of the Field of Miracles. Next it’s on to Florence, a shrine to the wonders of the Renaissance. Your walking tour visits the remarkable Duomo (when open for visitors). Besides it is the ‘Gates of Paradise’ – the heavenly gilded bronze doors of the Baptistry, and the open air gallery in Signoria Square. Walk on the famous Ponte Vecchio, the oldest surviving bridge in the city. Drive to the Piazzale Michelangelo, a magical point for breathtaking views. Then drive past Bologna along the Brenta River to the Veneto region. After dinner check into your hotel.

Day 4 | Onto Innsbruck / Walking Tour Of Venice / Visit Swarovski Crystal Worlds
This morning on to the magical lagoon city of Venice. Built on 117 small islands, it is a pedestrian’s city, get set for a walking tour. Cruise from Tronchetto Pier and glide romantically past fairytale palaces. Disembark and walk to the Piazza San Marco (St. Marks Square). Pass the Doge’s Palace, connected by the ‘Bridge of Sighs’ to its prisons. It was from here that the legendary lover Casanova made his famous escape ! Witness the bronze Moors striking the hour, since for the last 500 years! End this tour with a visit to a Murano Glass Showroom for a demonstration of hand blown Venetian glass. Celebrate with a scrumptious lunch and a surprise gift per family as you enjoy a cruise to Tronchetto Pier. Later drive to Austria. past quaint villages, medieval castles and fruit orchards. Halt at the internationally renowned Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens and prepare to be dazzled at the ‘Chambers of Wonder’! In a wondrous blue hall dominated by a unicum- a wall of crystal, you see the world’s biggest crystal and it’s smallest!

Enjoy a scenic drive to Innsbruck. Located on the Inn River, Innsbruck is one of Europe’s most beautiful and lively cities. Our orientation tour introduces you to its world famous sights. View the Golden Roof or ‘Goldenes Dachl’, an Gothic balcony erected by the Emperor Maximilian I in the 15th century, decorated with gold painted copper shingles. Walk to the Imperial Church and the ‘Hofburg’ or Imperial Palace. This Capital of the Alps, has a history of 800 years! After dinner Check into your hotel.

Day 5 | Into Switzerland / Visit Vaduz / Excursion to the Thundering Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen / Visit Zurich
Today a leisurely drive will take you to Switzerland, enroute, stop at Vaduz – the capital of the principality of Leichenstein. Proceed to Schaffhausen where the Rhine River thunders over the Rhine Falls forming Europe’s largest waterfall – an excellent photo opportunity. Your scenic drive brings you to Zurich. for an orientation tour strolling down Bahnhofstrasse, to Peterskirche (St. Peter’s Church) situated in a medieval square, famous for its 16th century clock. The Fraumunster and across the Limmat River, the Grossmunster – are two Cathedrals. Later check into your hotel.

Day 6 | In Switzerland / Day at Leisure / Optional Excursion To The Jungfrau, / Indian Lunch / Visit Interlaken
The day is free, but do take advantage of our optional excursion to the Jungfrau, the ‘Top of Europe’, a wonderful world of glaciers and eternal ice. Onto Jungfrau. Reach the highest altitude railway station in Europe by a charming, red cogwheel train, amid stunning and dramatic mountain scenery! What could be more tempting in this icy cold scenario than a hot Indian lunch! Walk on the great Aletsch Glacier. Visit the Sphinx Observation Terrace, at 3571 meters. Experience the new Cinema Experience with the new Alpine sensation attraction, and the glistening Ice Palace. Descend to visit the popular holiday resort of Interlaken, cradled cozily between the beautiful Lakes of Brienz and Thun, where even today you see horse-drawn carriages. You will have another encounter with the marvels of Swiss shopping. Next to a virtually unlimited selection of watches and jewellery, every store carries gifts and souvenirs, priced for every pocket. Later after dinner return to your hotel. Note: Guests not availing the the optional to Jungfrau will get a packed dinner.

Day 7 | In Switzerland / Visit Lucerne / Visit to Glacier 3000
Visit lucerne with its picturesque mountains, lakes, cowbells, alpine villages and meadows. Pause at the poignant Lion Monument, built to commemorate the brave Swiss soldiers killed during the French Revolution. Stroll along the covered, wooden Kapellbrücke (chapel bridge), to the ornate Jesuit Church. Later Glacier 3000 Awaits! Cox & Kings gives you another first with the launch of Glacier 3000 – the everlasting snow mountain, offering panoramic views of the most beautiful summits of the Alps. Ascent is by cable car to Scex Rouge (2971m). Enjoy a souvenir for each family. Ride the Snow Bus over the glacier – a unique experience of a comfortable ride on the eternal snow. A special adrenaline kick with a wild ride on the alpine Coaster (weather permitting), the world’s highest bobsleigh track. You can cruise along at approx. 40 km/hour and with the brakes you determine how fast you want to go. The View Point (stairs) located directly behind the Restaurant Botta 3000 has a 360-degree view that includes some of the most beautiful alpine peaks. There is also a tribute to your visit with Cox & Kings. Return to Col du Pillion. Drive to your hotel and enjoy the evening.

Day 8 | Into Paris / Visit Geneva
Enjoy a six hour drive to the glittering French capital – Paris the ‘City of Lights’. Enroute make a brief stop at Geneva, one of Switzerland’s most privileged cities. We begin the orientation tour with a drive to the European Headquarters of the United Nations and the Musee Ariana. Pause for a photograph at the Jet D’Eau and at the floral clock in the Jardin Anglais! Check into your hotel after an early dinner.

Day 9 | In Paris / Visit Fragonard / City Tour Of Paris / Visit the Eiffel Tower / Optional ‘Gala Evening’ In Paris
Today visit Fragonard – an exclusive from Cox & Kings. Discover Fragonard’s original perfumery creations on sale at factory prices. Fragonard celebrates your visit with a special souvenir for each visitor. Enjoy a guided panoramic city tour of the Pyramid of the Louvre, Garnier’s Opera, the River Seine, the Place de la Concorde, the Champs Élysées, the Napoleanic Arc de Triomphe and the Hotel des Invalides. Ascend to the 3rd level of the Eiffel Tower! Return to your hotel after dinner. Later this evening, don’t miss our Optional ‘Gala Evening’ In Paris. This enchanted evening unfolds with a cruise on the River Seine. True bliss! Sparkle over a glass of champagne as you enjoy a cabaret. Take away a small remembrance of your visit. Drive past the spectacularly lit landmarks on an Illumination tour. It’s magic! Return to your hotel.

Day 10 | Homeward Bound
Good times need never end! Your tour ends with guests departing on individual schedules for the airport and your flight back home. Relive the high points of your “Cox & King’s European Sojourn” tour. We are confident you will join us again sometime soon… (B either in the hotel or on board the flight).
